Statement
of Faith
WHAT WE BELIEVE
Paul directly relates the response to God as a result of believing; and believing as a result of hearing; and hearing a result of the preaching or proclaiming the Word of God. The premise of salvation is that there is a seed planted by God within all of us that makes it natural for the believer to change for the better. Such changes in the mind and character of the believer bring real spiritual growth.
We believe in the BIBLE.
It is the infallible word of God and the absolute authority in matters of faith and conduct.
We believe in the Holy Trinity
God eternally exists in three distinct persons of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ
He is the Incarnate Word who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of Mary who was a virgin and who died sacrificially for our sins. He was buried, resurrected bodily on the third day and ascended into heaven. He will come again to judge the living and the dead.
We believe that all men have sinned against God
We are saved solely by grace, through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and His redemptive work.
We believe in the Holy Spirit
He is the eternal Spirit of God sent to the church to empower it to live a holy life and to witness to the whole world.
We believe that there is only one church.
The Body of Christ is Jesus as its head, and that all believers in every generation belong to it.
We believe that the church is tasked by God to preach the gospel to all nations.
It can accomplish this by planting churches and supporting missions through tithes and offerings.
We believe that Christ will come again
We believe in the rapture of the saints, the second coming of Christ, the resurrection of the body, the judgment of believers, the judgment of non-believers, and in life everlasting.
We believe in the ordinances of Water Baptism and the Breaking of Bread
This is our testimony that we have become one with Christ and ready to follow Him.
We celebrate the Lord’s Supper to remember His sacrifice on the cross and the institution of the New Covenant in His blood.
We believe in the sanctity of marriage
We believe that it is biblical, singular and exclusively between man and woman.
